What is the tournament for? It is an annual fundraiser to benefit
programming for the adults with developmental disabilities, that
CHOICE, Inc serves.
This year’s tournament
will, for the sixth-year running, be held at the Chaska Town
Course. This spectacular course has received much attention
since it opened to the public in September 1997. Designed by renowned
golf course architect Arthur Hills, the course is owned and operated
by the City of Chaska. It spans over 285 acres of oak groves, open
prairie, and marshlands. Lush bent grass covers the playing area
from tee box to green.
Chaska Town Course will
co-host the United States Amateur in 2006. In addition to this special
event, the course has received many awards over the years:
• Voted fourth best new public course in the country – Golf Digest
1998
• Voted top 10 best golf courses in Minnesota – Golf Digest 2001-2003
• Rated a Four Star best places to play – Golf Digest 2002 & 2003
• Chosen as Minnesota’s best public access course -- Minnesota Golf
